Artist's Comments

This is the painting I made for my art class. It took me just about 4 months to finish it. The assignment was that we had to paint a picture with layers, like they did during the renaissance. If I’m not mistaken Elphaba’s face have a little more than 80 layers and Glinda’s about 35. Elphaba’s lips have about 45 and Glinda’s nails 7.

It got all funky when I took a picture of it. Elphaba is supposed to glow a bit more. Her face is more lemonish that the picture shows. And Glinda looks way better from afar. And please ignore the background as I didn’t focus much on it.

Oh my goodness! That looks incredible! I love Glinda's hair, and all the texture. Elphaba does glow even in the camera picture, it's stunning and the background looks great even without a lot of attention -It looks like the smoky lights in Defying Gravity I love it! I love it I love it!
